Saturday, 13 June 2026 – Finnish Sauna Day

Finnish Sauna Day is celebrated annually on the second Saturday in June, dedicated to celebrating Finland’s 3+ million saunas, sauna culture, and the tradition of ‘löyly’ (steam). 

Time: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Café: Open throughout the evening

Entrance: €20/person
Guided Tour: €10/person at 4:00 PM

All 19 saunas will be heated to honor Finland’s sauna heritage.

Students specializing in traditional Finnish sauna healing will offer treatments, sauna songs, chants, and other activities on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sauna Shuttle:
Runs from Jyväskylä city and Jämsä railway station via Himos.
Timetables and stops will be announced later.

What to bring: Swimwear, towel or bathrobe, bench linen, sauna hat, water bottle, footwear

Towels and bench linen are available for rent on-site.
